McGee School

This school was used from 1868 to 1952, and is on the National Register of Historic Places.  From Manchester, go west of town on Main St (210th St), which is old US20, to where 210th turns south at W69 and continue the short distance to W69 and turn north.  1.1 mile north of 210th is the intersection of Candle Rd-197th Street (name is different on each side of W69), and the school sits on the NE corner.

Notice that the flag pole is a wooden one extending off the roof at the front of the school, with the rope tied off down by the door.
Notice the two entry doors in the covered entry-way.
UPDATE 11/22/21: A new plaque has been placed at the school. Photo by Michael Day.
