Was there ever a typical one room school before this school? When was Hartsock built?
ReplyDeleteI have no information as to when it was built. And I'm sure they had one of the "boxcar" schools first.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and his brothers, Curt, Dale, Jerry and Russ Cox all went to school here in the mid 50's early 60"s. By the peak in the center bldg, I am wondering if it was the typical style of one room schools? The square smaller room, was brought on to the location in the early 60"s. My husband, Russ actually watched them bring the school down the road. Was there ever a different structure on the piece of land?
ReplyDeletethanks...Sue Cox
Hi Sue,
ReplyDeleteThe only information I know is what I have posted and that was given to me a long time ago.
Thanks for that personal information, though!
Your welcome. Maybe someone else browsing like myself might.
ReplyDeleteI love one room schools and the history they offer up. We were just out there taking all kinds of pictures of the ones that still exist.
